Privacy policy

Effective 8 October 2026 · applies to Velion and its dashboard

Velion runs on your PC. Aurexa has no account system, no ads and no analytics, and runs no server that receives your conversations. Some features do send data to online services, and this page lists each one.

Stored on your PC

Chat history, memory, reminders, settings, your AI keys, logs, your voice profile and, if you turn on the face check, your face profile. The voice and face profiles are sets of numbers that describe your voice and face, not recordings or photos. None of this is uploaded by Velion.

WhatWhere it goes
What you say after the wake wordGoogle's speech recognition service turns it into text. With offline speech turned on, it stays on your PC. If local wake-word detection isn't available on your PC, Velion also listens for its name through this service.
Your requests and the conversation so farThe AI provider whose key you added (Groq, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Cerebras, Mistral or OpenAI), under that provider's own privacy policy. Results of the actions Velion took are included so it can answer.
A screenshot, when you ask about your screenThe same AI provider, once. The image is deleted from your PC afterwards.
Velion's spoken repliesThe text is turned into speech by Microsoft's online voices, or Google's text-to-speech as a backup. Windows' built-in voice is used when both are unreachable.
A city name, for weatherOpen-Meteo.
Image descriptions, when you ask for a picturePollinations.ai, which draws the image.
Mail and calendar accessDirectly from your PC to your own mail and calendar provider, read-only. Nothing passes through Aurexa.
Update checksVelion downloads a small version file from Aurexa's update server on Cloudflare. Like any website, the server sees your IP address. No personal data is sent.
Face check models (only if you turn it on)Downloaded once from OpenCV's public model library on GitHub. No image of you is sent.

Feedback you send

The dashboard has a Bug Notes page. Nothing is sent until you press Send. In the public beta, a sent note contains its title, text and severity, the name you typed (optional), the Velion and dashboard release names, your Windows version and a random install ID. No logs are attached. Notes go to Aurexa's feedback server on Cloudflare and are deleted after 90 days. Invited testers can also attach a log file with keys and passwords removed; those files are deleted after 60 days.

Anonymous usage counts (off unless you turn them on)

Velion counts on your PC how many requests you make each day and which features ran (for example "set_reminder: 2"). It never records what you said or what it answered. If you turn on Share anonymous usage counts on the Bug Notes page, a summary of the last 7 days is sent once a week with the release names, your Windows version and a random install ID. The dashboard shows exactly what would be sent. Summaries are deleted from the server after 60 days. Turn the switch off at any time to stop sending.

Your choices

  • Leave usage sharing off, or turn it off at any time on the Bug Notes page.
  • Turn on offline speech to keep your voice on your PC.
  • Remove any AI key in Settings to stop using that provider.
  • Reset your voice or face profile from the dashboard at any time.
  • Uninstall Velion and delete its folder in your user profile to remove everything it stored.
